Clean up North Peaks

You're the newly elected leader of North Peaks, a small remote town that's been polluted for decades. Your job: clean it up without leaving the residents in the cold.

Clear the litter off the streets to earn credits, cut air pollution with filters and cleaner machines, move a tourist area off coal and diesel to hydro, solar, biomass and wind without a single outage, and upgrade the wastewater plant to contain a polluted river. A scanner tracks every problem to its root cause, AI-driven residents tell you what they need, and when credits run short, the Bank of North Peaks offers a loan. Play level by level or in free play, solo or in co-op.

It's inspired by Greensburg, Kansas, a town that rebuilt itself to run on 100% renewable energy, and every finished run ends with a certificate of achievement: if you can make change here, you can make change in real life.

Polluter is an educational game for middle school students, built in Minecraft: Java Edition with a custom MCreator mod. My team of three is making it for Impactful Video Game Design, a game design course at the University of Toronto, and it's headed for the Games for Change Festival.
